Under mostly clear skies temperatures warmed to the upper 80s to
low 90s across southwest Kansas this afternoon. However,
temperatures were a bit cooler over the eastern side of the state
due to mostly to partly cloudy skies. Here temperatures were in
the mid 70s to mid 80s.

Thunderstorms are beginning to erupt across the high plains of
western Nebraska and eastern Colorado late this afternoon and
expected to progress eastward into Kansas, Nebraska, and western
Oklahoma tonight. Another possible focus for storm development
early this evening is across north central Kansas. Overnight lows
will be in the mid to upper 50s across the western sections of
the region to the low to mid 60s eastward.

Showers and storms may linger through the morning across central
and eastern Kansas on Sunday. Highs will range from the low 80s
over northeast Kansas to low 90s in western Kansas. Another round
of convection is expected to develop across the high plains again
late Sunday into Sunday night.
