...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EASTERN HARVEY COUNTY THROUGH
900 PM CDT...

At 835 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
North Newton, moving south at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Newton, Hesston, North Newton, Sedgwick, Walton, and Newton Airport.

This includes Interstate 135 between Mile Markers 23 and 41.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
