...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 415 PM EDT...

For the following areas...
Coastal waters from Surf City to Cape Fear NC out 20 nm...

At 312 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Johnny Mercer
Pier, moving north at 15 knots. Additional storms are also possible
in the warned area.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
         suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Liberty Ship, Harris Reef, 5 Mile Boxcars, 10 Mile Rocks, and
Masonboro Sea Buoy.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes. Boaters should
seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass. If caught on
the open water, prepare for deteriorating conditions. Make sure you
and your crew are wearing properly fitted life jackets.
