For the following areas... Coastal waters from Fernandina Beach to St. Augustine FL out 20 NM... At 651 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 9 nm east of Palm Valley, or 19 nm north of Saint Augustine, moving east at 25 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes. If your vessel is caught offshore, immediately secure for heavy weather.
