...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Kentucky, including the
  following counties, Pulaski and Rockcastle.

* WHEN...Until 900 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 550 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
    have fallen with locally higher amounts. UP to 4 inches of
    rainfall was reported near Shopville.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 0.7 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Science Hill, Bobtown, Woodstock, Dabney, Valley Oak, Bandy,
    Shopville, Willailla, Level Green, Hansford, Bloss, Hogue,
    Pongo, Stab, Luner, Magnum, Pulaski and Eubank.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
