...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Kentucky,
  including the following counties, in south central Kentucky,
  Whitley. In southeast Kentucky, Bell and Knox.

* WHEN...Until 200 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1204 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    showers and thunderstorms. Minor flooding of small streams
    and creeks, roads, and roadside culverts is ongoing or
    expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Williamsburg, Pineville, Kayjay, Wheeler, Hubbs, Myrick,
    Trosper, Avis, Ingram, Bryants Store, Birdseye, King, Goins,
    Flat Lick, Gausdale, Fourmile, Siler, Carpenter, Wallsend and
    Wasioto.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
