...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT EASTERN MARTIN...EAST CENTRAL
KNOTT...EASTERN FLOYD AND CENTRAL PIKE COUNTIES THROUGH 830 PM EDT...

At 730 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over Dry Creek, or 11 miles east of Hindman, moving
north at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Pikeville, Coal Run Village, Wheelwright, Forest Hills, Wayland,
Warfield, East McDowell, Huddy, Meta, Pilgrim, Garden Village, Aluba,
McDowell, Piso, Betsy Layne, Prince, Ivel, Honaker, Buckhorn Hollow,
and Blue Moon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
