The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Intracoastal City to Cameron LA out 20 NM...
  Coastal waters from Lower Atchafalaya River to Intracoastal City LA
  out 20 NM...

* Until 200 AM CDT.

* At 1252 AM CDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over South Marsh
  Island 217, or 11 nm southwest of Marsh Island, moving southeast at
  20 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  South Marsh Island 217, South Marsh Island 239, Eugene Island 24,
  Vermilion 31, Vermilion 51, South Marsh Island 236, Eugene Island
  28, South Marsh Island 243, and Eugene Island 30.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
