NEWTON...NORTHEASTERN HARDIN...NORTHEASTERN ORANGE AND SOUTHEASTERN
JASPER COUNTIES THROUGH 145 PM CDT...

At 133 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Caney Head to Mauriceville. Movement was
east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Orange, Vidor, Silsbee, Deweyville, Evadale, Mauriceville, Buna,
Caney Head, Weiss Bluff, Gist, Hartburg, Forest Heights, Wrights
Settlement, and Devils Pocket.

This includes Interstate 10 in Texas between mile markers 875 and
867.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 PM CDT for
southeastern Texas. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch also remains in
effect until 600 PM CDT for southwestern Louisiana.
