At 117 PM CDT, trained weather spotters reported strong thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts or landspouts over Calcasieu Lake and Cameron Parish along a line extending from near Vinton to 6 miles southeast of Rockefeller Wildlife Range. Movement was southeast at 10 mph HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous waters. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include...
