...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL
TERREBONNE AND NORTHWESTERN LAFOURCHE PARISHES THROUGH 345 PM CDT
...

At 311 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
capable of producing a waterspout over marine areas near Raceland, or
10 miles east of Thibodaux, moving southwest at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and winds in excess of 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
         hazardous waters. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs
         and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Thibodaux, Raceland, Gray, Schriever, Bayou Cane, and Des Allemands.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
