...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 100 AM CDT
FOR HARRISON COUNTY...
At 1254 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 9 miles north of Latimer to near Biloxi, moving east
at 50 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Gulfport, Biloxi, Ocean Springs, Long Beach, St. Martin, D`iberville,
Saucier, Lyman, Latimer, and Gulfport Airport.
This includes the following Interstates...
Interstate 10 in Mississippi between mile markers 19 and 47.
Interstate 110 in Mississippi between mile markers 1 and 4.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for southern
Mississippi.
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
