428 FZUS63 KMKX 270226 GLFLM OPEN LAKE FORECAST for Lake Michigan National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI 926 PM CDT Sun May 26 2024 FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan. Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will occasionally be encountered. .SYNOPSIS... Low pressure of 29.4 inches over east central Wisconsin will slowly move across central Lake Michigan tonight then across northern lower Michigan and Lake Huron on Monday. Breezy east to northeast winds will continue tonight across the northern portion of the lake with westerly winds across the south half. As the low moves away, the winds will become northwest for the entire lake by Monday afternoon. West to northwest flow will persist into mid week, with winds gradually weakening over time as high pressure around 30.2 inches eventually builds into the region.
