CLARK...SOUTHEASTERN CRAWFORD...EAST CENTRAL PERRY...NORTHWESTERN
FLOYD...SOUTH CENTRAL WASHINGTON AND NORTHWESTERN MEADE COUNTIES
THROUGH 730 PM EDT/630 PM CDT/...

At 656 PM EDT/556 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 12 miles south of Salem to
14 miles northeast of Tell City. Movement was east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Corydon, Carefree Town, Galena, Palmyra, Greenville, Leavenworth,
Crandall, Alton, New Amsterdam, and Roberta.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
