...Discussion from Monterey...

Temperatures across the interior regions dip to below seasonal
averages for Friday and Saturday, before warming to seasonal
averages or above through the middle of next week. Daytime humidity
retention will improve on Friday with stronger onshore flow, before
relative humidities decrease after the weekend. Gustier conditions
are possible along the coast, in the North and East Bay Mountains,
the highest peaks, and through gaps and passes. Light coastal
drizzle is possible Friday and Saturday but wetting rain is not
expected.

...Discussion from Los Angeles/Oxnard...

The marine layer will remain dominant on the coastal side of the
mountains through Saturday, with relatively cool and moist
conditions. Over the mountains and interior, humidities will be
improved but still falling into the 20 to 40 percent range each
day. Onshore wind gusts of 30 to 45 mph will be common over the
mountains and interior, as well as the Central Coast and southwest
Santa Barbara County. A low pressure system will pass to the east,
which will bring a low but non-zero chance of a shower or
thunderstorm over the mountains.

Winds will weaken and the marine layer will lower Sunday and Monday
(Memorial Day). Warmer and drier conditions expected, especially
over the mountains and interior where highs between 80 and 90 and
humidities of 15 to 30 percent will be common. Further warming over
the interior will continue Tuesday through most of next week, which
onshore flow increases. This will keep the marine layer dominant
over the coastal areas with gusty winds over the interior.
