488 FZUS63 KMQT 271357 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 957 AM EDT Mon May 27 2024 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A 29.5 inch low over central Lower Michigan will deepen to 29.4 inches while it slowly tracks eastward, moving into Quebec by Tuesday morning. In its wake, a 30.3 inch high pressure builds over the Northern Plains on Tuesday. This high pressure parks over the Upper Great Lakes Wednesday and stays put through Thursday. The high begins to slowly move towards the rest of the lower Great Lakes region Friday.
