The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  North Central Calhoun County in southwestern Illinois...
  Northwestern Greene County in southwestern Illinois...
  Southeastern Pike County in west central Illinois...
  Northeastern Pike County in northeastern Missouri...

* Until 1030 PM CDT.

* At 430 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain
  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Pittsfield, Louisiana, Roodhouse, Pleasant Hill, Atlas, Pike,
  Belleview, Independence, Bedford, Patterson, Montezuma,
  Martinsburg, Nebo, Milton, Hillview, Pearl, Detroit, Florence,
  Time and Summer Hill.

This includes Interstate 72 between exits 31 and 35.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Hurricane Creek, Little Blue Creek, Sugar Creek, Bee Creek, Horn
  Branch, Kersey Creek, Moore Creek, Illinois River, Little Sandy
  Creek, Seminary Creek, Grassy Creek, Apple Creek, Trimley Creek,
  Bettell Creek, Mississippi River, East Branch Kiser Creek, Buckeye
  Creek, Bay Creek, Wolf Run, Birch Creek, Cold Run, Honey Creek,
  Panther Creek, Buckhorn Creek, South Prong Spring Creek, Sixmile
  Creek, East Panther Creek, Noix Creek, Dutch Creek, West Panther
  Creek, Hill Creek, Salt River, Blue Creek, Haw Creek, Spring
  Creek, Twomile Creek, Town Branch and Buck Branch.
