...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 900 PM CDT
FOR NORTHEASTERN BRISCOE COUNTY...

At 834 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles north of
Caprock Canyon State Park, moving east at 25 mph.

THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR CAPROCK CANYONS STATE PARK.

HAZARD...Baseball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be severely injured.
         Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs,
         siding, and vehicles.

Locations impacted include...
Caprock Canyon State Park and Valley Schools.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for the Panhandle
of Texas.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

This storm is producing large hail. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy
structure and stay away from windows.
