A strong cold front will push through the region tonight, triggering numerous showers and thunderstorms, some of which are likely to become severe. As of 10:30 AM, showers are developing and moving northeast towards Washington DC with showers reaching DC in the next hour. Rain showers will linger in the area this morning before moving to the northeast in the early afternoon. Another round of showers and thunderstorms are anticipated to move through DC between 4PM and 8PM with shower and thunderstorm chances diminishing after 8PM and completely over by 10PM. Biggest hazard with any storms will be damaging winds and frequent lightning strikes, with isolated large hail possible. .REST OF TODAY... Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy (70-80 percent).
