Chesapeake Bay from Drum Point MD to Smith Point VA...
Tangier Sound and the inland waters surrounding Bloodsworth Island...
At 558 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts
were located along a line extending from near Raccoon Point to near
Tangier Sound to near Southwest Middle Grounds, moving east at 25
knots.
HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small
hail.
SOURCE...Observed wind.
IMPACT...Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by
suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel.
Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous seas.
