...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 PM EDT...

For the following areas...
Tidal Potomac from Indian Head to Cobb Island MD...
Tidal Potomac from Key Bridge to Indian Head MD...

At 301 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Key Bridge to near Alexandria to Leesylvania
State Park to 16 nm southwest of Aquia Creek, moving east at 30
knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.

SOURCE...Observed wind.

IMPACT...Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by
         suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel.

  Fort Hunt, Mason Neck State Park, Quantico, Fort Washington,
  Occoquan Bay, Tidal Basin, Gunston Hall, Smallwood State Park,
  Indian Head, and Alexandria around 305 PM EDT.
  Potomac Creek around 310 PM EDT.
  Fairview Beach and Maryland Point around 315 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by strong thunderstorms include Widewater.

expected.
