...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1000 PM EDT...

For the following areas...
Chesapeake Bay from Pooles Island to Sandy Point MD...
Chesapeake Bay north of Pooles Island MD...
Chester River to Queenstown MD...
Patapsco River including Baltimore Harbor...

At 848 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts
was located near Worton Point, moving east at 15 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts in excess of 48 knots, and large
         hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Boaters could easily be thrown overboard by suddenly higher
         wind and waves capsizing their vessel. Boats could suffer
         significant damage in high winds and hail. Waterspouts can
         easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas.

Locations impacted include...
Pinehurst, North Point State Park, Fort Smallwood Park, Hart Miller
Island, Gunpowder River, Baltimore Light, Gibson Island, Bodkin
Point, Worton Point, Pooles Island, Sevenfoot Knoll, and Tolchester
Beach.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for central and
northern Maryland...and the adjacent coastal waters.

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.
