...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 800 PM CDT
FOR SOUTH CENTRAL PECOS AND NORTHEASTERN BREWSTER COUNTIES...

At 740 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 24 miles east of
Marathon, or 25 miles west of Sanderson, moving southeast at 35 mph.

THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR NORTHEAST BREWSTER COUNTY.

HAZARD...Baseball size hail and 80 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be severely injured.
         Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs,
         siding, and vehicles.

This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of south
central Pecos and northeastern Brewster Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
Midland.
