...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 AM CDT
FOR EASTERN GAINES...WESTERN BORDEN AND DAWSON COUNTIES...
At 1150 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near O`Donnell to 8 miles northeast of Seminole,
moving south at 25 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Welch Mesonet reported a 61 MPH wind gust at 1145 PM CDT.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Lamesa, Ackerly, Lamesa Municipal Airport, Welch, Los Ybanez, Loop,
Sparenberg, Punkin Center, Patricia, Arvana, Hancock, McKenzie Lake,
Tenmile, Key, and Klondike.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
