The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northeastern Obion County in Tennessee...

* Until 315 PM CDT.

* At 1215 PM CDT, emergency management reported thunderstorms
  producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3
  inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 3
  inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring,
  especially near Green Acres Mobile Home Community.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Union City, Gibbs and Shaffner.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Hicks Branch, North Fork Obion River, Davidson Creek, Harris Fork
  Creek and Deer Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
