...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT LAFAYETTE...SOUTHWESTERN UNION
AND NORTHWESTERN PONTOTOC COUNTIES THROUGH 515 PM CDT...

At 441 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Oxford, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Oxford, Water Valley, Holly Springs National Forest, Springdale,
Burgess, Cambridge, Tula, Denmark, Pinedale, Etta, Paris, Thaxton,
Taylor, Toccopola, Altus, Keel, Esperanza, Delay, College Hill
Station, and College Hill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for
northeastern and northwestern Mississippi.
