...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 700 AM EDT...

S of Ocracoke Inlet NC to Cape Lookout NC out to 20 nm...
Waters from Cape Lookout  to Surf City NC from 20 to 40 nm...
Waters fromOcracoke Inlet to Cape Lookout NC from 20 to 40 nm...

At 538 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 11 nm east of Atlas Tanker to 10 nm east of 14 Buoy to
33 nm east of Wr4, moving northeast at 25 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots and small hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high
         winds. Small craft could capsize in suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Atlas Tanker, 14 Buoy, The Knuckle Buoy, and Big Ten Fathom.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, small hail, high waves, dangerous
lightning, and heavy rain are possible with these storms.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
