* Special Marine Warning for...
  Alligator River...
  Croatan and Roanoke Sounds...
  Pamlico Sound...
  Pamlico and Pungo Rivers...
  S of Currituck Beach Light NC to Oregon Inlet NC out to 20 nm...

* Until 830 PM EDT.

* At 744 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 7 nm southeast of Alligator River Bridge to 7 nm
  northeast of Engelhard to near Swanquarter, moving east at 25
  knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and large hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in
           structural damage.

* Locations impacted include...
  Engelhard, Swanquarter, The Center Of Croatan Sound, Pamlico Sound,
  Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge, The Center Of The Pamlico
  Sound, and Kill Devil Hills.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
