...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 600 PM EDT
FOR SOUTH CENTRAL ST. LUCIE AND CENTRAL MARTIN COUNTIES...

At 530 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Palm City,
moving southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Stuart, Palm City, Port Salerno, Hobe Sound, and Sewall`s Point.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into a
small central room in a sturdy structure.
