...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 230 AM CDT...

For the following areas...
North Mobile Bay...

At 143 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts
was located near Gaillard Island, or near Mouth Of Mobile River,
moving north at 10 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
         hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
         higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Gaillard Island, Pinto Island, Mouth Of Mobile River, Battleship
Park, and Fairhope Pier.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.
