...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHERN SCOTT COUNTY THROUGH
NOON EDT...

At 1109 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles northwest of Helenwood, or 10 miles west of Oneida, moving east
at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Oneida, Helenwood, Winfield, Ketchen, Honey Creek State Park, and Big
South Fork National Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
