* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern Jefferson County in east Tennessee...
  Central Cocke County in east Tennessee...
  Southern Greene County in east Tennessee...
  South central Hamblen County in east Tennessee...

* Until 630 PM EDT.

* At 542 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Baneberry, or
  near Newport, moving east at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
           tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
           roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
  Morristown, Greeneville, Newport, White Pine, Baneberry,
  Parrottsville, Caney Branch, Del Rio, Bybee, and Cedar Creek.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 40 in Tennessee between mile markers 425 and 435.
 Interstate 81 in Tennessee between mile markers 6 and 9.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
