...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 AM EDT
FOR WESTERN CLAIBORNE...NORTHEASTERN CAMPBELL...NORTHERN UNION AND
WESTERN LEE COUNTIES...

At 233 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles southwest of
Wilkerson, or 10 miles northeast of La Follette, moving east at 35
mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
         roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
La Follette, Harrogate, Jellico, Springdale, Cumberland Gap, Arthur,
Clairfield, Fincastle, White Oak, and Sharps Chapel.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 600 AM EDT for east
Tennessee. A Tornado Watch also remains in effect until 600 AM EDT
for southwestern Virginia.

Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot
a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a
sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
