FOR NORTHEASTERN KNOX...WEST CENTRAL JEFFERSON...SOUTHEASTERN UNION
AND SOUTHWESTERN GRAINGER COUNTIES...
At 552 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles southwest of
Plainview, or 10 miles north of Knoxville, moving northeast at 35
mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Knoxville, Plainview, Strawberry Plains, Halls, Blaine, Luttrell,
House Mountain State Park, Maloneyville, and Mascot.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 in Tennessee between mile markers 385 and 398.
Interstate 75 in Tennessee between mile markers 108 and 115.
