.SYNOPSIS...Scattered thunderstorms, some strong, are shifting
northward across the Virgin Islands and the local eastern
coastal waters this morning, ahead of an energetic upper level
trough across the west-central Caribbean and the west Atlantic.
At the surface, weak high pressure NE of the area is producing
moderate E to SE winds over the local waters. The upper level
trough will shift slowly NE this afternoon through Fri,
promoting active weather across portions of the local area. Weak
low pressure is expected to develop N of Hispaniola today and
shift N-NE through Sun, and will briefly increase winds across
the local area today.
