Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A ridge will dominate the Gulf waters through the
next several days, supporting generally moderate to fresh E to
SE winds in the western Gulf and gentle to moderate winds E of
90W, except for locally strong winds pulsing near the northern
and western portions of the Yucatan peninsula tonight, then
pulsing to fresh in the evenings thereafter. By the end of the
week, the ridge may weaken allowing for winds to diminish
somewhat. Hazy conditions due to agricultural fires over Central
America and Mexico will continue for the next couple of days
reducing visibility to 3 nm at times, mainly over the western
half of the Gulf.
