Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height. Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms. ANZ899-210230- 1024 PM EDT Sun May 19 2024 .SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...Broad low pressure system just E of the northern waters, centered about 325 nm SE of Nantucket, will remain nearly stationary early tonight. The low will move slowly E away from the area later tonight through Mon night. A cold front extending E across the waters from off of the Georgia coast will move slowly S tonight through Mon, as a series of weak low pressure centers form and move E along the boundary. The front will pass S of the area Mon night and Tue while high pressure builds S into the northern waters. The high pressure ridge will slowly drift S Tue night through Thu while weakening, and then will shift S of the waters Thu night where it will persist through Fri night.
