The National Weather Service in Omaha has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Monona County in west central Iowa...
  Northern Harrison County in southwestern Iowa...
  Central Burt County in east central Nebraska...
  Western Washington County in east central Nebraska...

* Until 200 PM CDT.

* At 1259 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 2 miles southwest of Craig to 4 miles north of
  Arlington, moving northeast at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
           considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
           mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
  Blair, Tekamah, Onawa, Woodbine, Mapleton, Dunlap, Whiting,
  Decatur, Mondamin, Ute, Modale, Herman, Pisgah, Moorhead, Blencoe,
  Craig, Magnolia, Soldier, Little Sioux, and Castana.

This includes Interstate 29 between mile markers 82 and 115.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 500 PM CDT for southwestern
and west central Iowa...and east central Nebraska.

building.
