...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR NORTHEASTERN LANCASTER COUNTY IS
CANCELLED...
The tornadic thunderstorm which prompted the warning has weakened.
moved out of the warned area. Therefore, the warning has been
cancelled.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for
southwestern Iowa...and southeastern and east central Nebraska. A
Severe Thunderstorm Watch also remains in effect until 800 AM CDT for
southwestern Iowa.

SOUTHEASTERN DOUGLAS...SOUTHEASTERN SAUNDERS AND NORTHERN CASS
COUNTIES...
At 216 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 3 miles northwest of Ashland, or 8 miles southwest of
Gretna, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.
This dangerous storm will be near...
Gretna and Ashland around 220 AM CDT.
Springfield and Wehrspann Lake around 225 AM CDT.
Other locations in the path of this tornadic thunderstorm include
Chalco, Walnut Creek Recreation Area, Prairie Queen Recreation Area,
Bellevue, Papillion, Offutt AFB and Cedar Creek.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
