The National Weather Service in Norman has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  East Central Canadian County in central Oklahoma...
  Southwestern Oklahoma County in central Oklahoma...

* Until 330 AM CDT.

* At 104 AM CDT, Flooding impacts will continue through 330 AM, and
  although brief light to moderate rain is possible, no additional
  heavy rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Oklahoma City, southern Edmond, Del City, Yukon, Bethany, Warr
  Acres, The Village, Nichols Hills, Forest Park, Woodlawn Park,
  Lake Aluma, Smith Village, The Fairgrounds, Wiley Post Airport and
  The Capitol.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
