166 WGUS83 KPAH 031956 FLSPAH Flood Advisory National Weather Service Paducah KY 256 PM CDT Mon Jun 3 2024 MOC017-031-207-032300- /O.NEW.KPAH.FA.Y.0077.240603T1956Z-240603T2300Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Bollinger MO-Cape Girardeau MO-Stoddard MO- 256 PM CDT Mon Jun 3 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Missouri, including the following counties, Bollinger, Cape Girardeau and Stoddard. * WHEN...Until 600 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 256 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Marble Hill, Advance, Bollinger Mill State Historic Site, Bell City, Delta, Leopold, Burfordville, Whitewater and Allenville. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads.
