...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, including the following
  county, Union and southeast Missouri, including the following
  county, Cape Girardeau.

* WHEN...Until 800 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 658 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Some of these storms may repeat over areas
    having already received heavy rainfall. Where this occurs,
    minor flooding is expected.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Cape Girardeau, Jackson, Scott City, Anna, Jonesboro, Trail
    Of Tears State Park, Bollinger Mill State Historic Site,
    Cobden, Delta, Gordonville, Dutchtown, Ware, Millersville,
    Burfordville, Daisy, Alto Pass, Oak Ridge, Whitewater,
    Allenville, and Pocahontas.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
