* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Hardin County in southern Illinois...
  East central Pulaski County in southern Illinois...
  Massac County in southern Illinois...
  Pope County in southern Illinois...
  Eastern Johnson County in southern Illinois...
  Saline County in southern Illinois...
  Gallatin County in southern Illinois...

* Until 930 PM CDT.

* At 828 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Galatia to near Carrier Mills to near Vienna to
  6 miles east of Tamms, moving east at 65 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Harrisburg, Metropolis, Eldorado, Shawneetown, Rosiclare,
  Brookport, Galatia, Ridgway, Golconda, Equality, New Columbia,
  Dixon Springs, Carrier Mills, New Haven, Joppa, Raleigh,
  Elizabethtown, Stonefort, Omaha, and New Burnside.

This includes Interstate 24 in Illinois between Mile Markers 17 and
37.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for south central
and southern Illinois...and western Kentucky. A Tornado Watch also
remains in effect until 100 AM CDT for southern and southeastern
Illinois...southwestern Indiana...and western and northwestern
Kentucky.
