...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN BEAVER...NORTHWESTERN
WASHINGTON...NORTHWESTERN ALLEGHENY AND HANCOCK COUNTIES THROUGH 730
PM EDT...

At 700 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles south of Shippingport, or 9 miles northeast of Weirton, moving
east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Pittsburgh, Ross Township, McCandless Township, Moon Township,
Weirton, Franklin Park, Scott Township, Robinson Township,
Cecil-Bishop, Bellevue, Carnegie, Kennedy Township, Ambridge, Stowe
Township, McKees Rocks, Crafton, Coraopolis, Bridgeville, Avalon, and
Sewickley.

This includes the following highways...
  Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 49 and 55, and
  between mile markers 57 and 71.
  Parkway North between mile markers 7 and 12.
  Interstate 376 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 46 and 64.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
