...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 PM EDT
FOR EASTERN HARRISON...JEFFERSON...WESTERN COLUMBIANA...CARROLL AND
NORTH CENTRAL BELMONT COUNTIES...
At 636 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Waynesburg to near Carrollton to near Cadiz,
moving northeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Law enforcement.
IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines, resulting in some
power outages.
Locations impacted include...
Steubenville, Cadiz, Carrollton, Wintersville, Minerva, Lisbon,
Augusta, Salineville, Malvern, Hopedale, Smithfield, Scio, Adena,
Jewett, Dillonvale, Bergholz, Amsterdam, Richmond, Mount Pleasant,
and Hanoverton.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
These storms are producing wind damage across eastern Ohio. SEEK
SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows.
