.DISCUSSION...An upper level trough has brought a front through
the area causing increased winds and mountain precipitation with
thunderstorms. Thunderstorms along the northern Cascades around
Snoqualmie and Stampede Passes with less than 10% probabilities
of thunderstorms along the eastern mountains of Wallowa County and
less than 20% for the northern Cascades. Winds will remain
westerly with 60% to 80% chances of >25 mph through the Simcoe
Highlands, lower Columbia Basin of OR, foothills of the Blue
Mountains as well as Kittitas Valley. Ensembles also show 60-80%
probabilities of >39 mph gusts in the same areas. Dry and warm
conditions will return Thursday.
