Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Oregon and SE Washington
National Weather Service Pendleton OR
152 PM PDT Wed May 29 2024

.DISCUSSION...As a passing trough of low pressure exits to the
east overnight, winds will subside (except for locally breezy
winds through the Cascade gaps, especially the eastern Gorge and
Kittitas Valley) and precipitation chances will diminish. An
upper-level ridge of high pressure will then influence the
region`s weather through Friday with lighter winds and dry
conditions anticipated. The next chances of light precipitation
and widespread breezy to windy westerly winds will be late Friday
evening into Saturday morning as a weak trough of low pressure
approaches the PacNW.
