Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
345 AM MDT Tue May 28 2024

.Discussion...

Critical fire weather conditions are not expected for the next seven
days. Mostly dry and warm weather is expected, with daily chances
for showers and thunderstorms across most areas. Some storms could
be strong to severe, especially for today through Thursday on our
far southern and eastern plains. Main risks with stronger storms
will be large hail up to 1.5 inches, and damaging winds with gusts
to 60 mph, along with lightning. A trend towards drier weather with
above normal temperatures looks to begin later this weekend or into
the beginning of next week.

Afternoon smoke dispersions will be good or better on the plains
today, and very good or better for the high country, with similar
rates expected for tomorrow.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
