Winds will increase today with critical to near critical fire weather conditions expected this afternoon as humidity values drop below 15 percent and winds gust up to 25 mph for more exposed areas. Fuel conditions have been reported in green up phase for most of southern CO which should mitigate impacts. Therefore no fire weather highlights are in effect, but if fuels are critical at the fire site, then enhanced rates of fire growth and spread will be possible through early this evening. Humidity recovery will be poor tonight. It will be warm and dry again Sunday with a little less wind. Isolated high based thunderstorms will be possible in the afternoon but these are more likely to be gusty wind makers than rainfall producers. .REST OF TODAY...
