...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHERN OTERO...WESTERN KIOWA
AND SOUTHEASTERN CROWLEY COUNTIES THROUGH 430 PM MDT...
At 404 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Ordway, or 19 miles northwest of La Junta, moving northeast at 25
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Ordway, Sugar City, and Crowley.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
